Just looked at the Costa Rica shots -- WOW! I especially love the fireworks one. And I love that thing you do with the photos to make them look like paintings! :)

Hi, Rob,
Si nice to be back in touch. Your photos are absolutely amazing! I love photography, too, and got a great camera for my birthday last year (I was tired of my digital auto focus). I am nowhere near your caliber, but I take tons of photos because I love capturing moments to have as memories forever.
Take care,
Vicki

Robert,
I started viewing your gallery at 11 pm last night and had to force myself to lofoff and get some sleep at 2:00 a.m.! Your gallery has just been added to my "favorites" so I can view the photos again and again. You are truly an artist!
Norm Levin 10-Jan-2009 05:22
Robert,
Your recent email of Anna's pix made me return here for another look. Laurel wanted to see the dance photos, which led to the travel shots, which led to...

Impressive collection. Its a shame you have such a time consuming day job.

Thanks for stopping by my studio today. It was great talking to you. You have a wonderful eye and your photos are terrific! Especially loved your shots of Mackinac in the winter. Your work has a National look to it.

Great fun looking at your world through your viewfinder. Keep it up! I'll be watching...

Mr. Levy! Nice to talk to you today at BOH and Woodward Camera. Thanks for the words of advice!! Here is my horse and I, at my barn. Holly Williams is a good friend of mine and she too is learning photography. She took some practice shots a few weekends back. My horse is a Friesian/percheron cross, 7 yr, G, named Palidor! I only trail ride and have fun with him, due to funds being short. But, I still love him just as much! Here is the link http://www.focusequine.com/jp/index.htm Once again thank you and your web site!!! It is awesome and your eye is even better!! If you have not made a book? That should be your next project? Take care, Janine and Palidor

Robert - again - I've enjoyed your work. I know that you know the rules of photography. I love the results that come from your breaking the rules. It's interesting to watch the ongoing evolution of ones art. Keep it up my friend!
And happy birthday too!

I found your site by accident and have to say it was a happy accident. You do such nice work. I saw some password protected pages, but I guess I would have to pay to see them.
That is OK, you have to make money for your very fine work. Thank you for sharing the pictures, they are excellent.

Mr. Levy

I was surfing the web and found this site just by chance.
This is one of the most incredible stop action shots I have seen in a while.

Hi -
Was Googling a potential employer with the same name and came across your site. I really enjoyed seeing your work. It made me giggle to myself because I noticed in your photos a similarity in subject matter that causes me to hurriedly reach for my camera.

Your Cayman/hair & water and the Jackson Hole galleries include some PHENOMENAL work!!! I was really blown away by some of those. Just great!

I've found that it's helpful to know your subjects if you're shooting people, so people don't think you're a stalker. I work in a bookstore, and am CONSTANTLY wishing I could be invisible to shoot some of the adorable kids and the comedy and innocence they display, and they're completely unaware that they're doing it! That's what's great about kids, their reactions are so true and spontaneous - it's refreshing in a world where adults have mostly become jaded or beyond surprise and honest reactions.

Seeing your web site inspired me to get my act (and photos) together and eventually create a site with my work. You never know what can happen by getting your pictures out there!

Thanks again!

your work is becoming so beautiful
and it doesn't seem like you tire of your eye (a problem i've occasionally been encountering lately)
Becky Ratte 10-Sep-2004 13:49
Mr. Levy,

They said you had amazing work...now I know. Very impressive. Your eye works off so many subjects and you capture the essence of each one so perfectly with your cropping. I am a huge fan of tight focused images and find myself wanting to put some in paint. Thanks for the opportunity to take a look.

I am truly amazed to read that photography is your hobby, rather than your profession. Your work is technically so superb, and your photographic eye is so on target, you could easily be a pro commercial photographer. The fact that your images are created as part of your hobby speak of the passion for your subjects and your hobby. I was brought to your galleries by one of your Equus images, and your horse/rider combinations are still my favorites because of my love of horses (and lack of success at translating this love into images), but your hair/water/light images are stunning and creative, and your portrait work shows real feeling. I am so glad that someone posted one of your images in the forum so that I could be inspired by your artistry.

Robert,

I was guided to you photos from a posting in the Equine Photographers Network, which I am a member of.
The photographer that guided me here had met you at the Hits and you had let her use your camera and a lens. I really like your "eye" on all of the pictures. Each one seems to have its own story.

BRAVO Robert!!! You have absolutely beautiful pictures. You have some familiar Mackinac shots :) (although the owl is my favorite).
Dave Niehous 19-Dec-2003 14:07
Robert;

Just sent you an e-mail regarding a request for a copy of the picture of Lissa Guyton in the Equus gallery. I'd like to give her a framed copy for Christmas if you have the time to put together a solid print - sorry for the late notice!

Excellent work by the way. I think you ought to have some of these shots on display in a gallery.

Please give me a call at 419-509-6627. Thanks Robert.

this didn't work the first time,
really loved your hair light and water picture. it's obvious you had an idea, and resued it for some time, and there wil probably be more or it from you and copies elswhere. the truest compliment is copying.
a wonderful idea and you did a wonderful job developing it.

robert,
i tried to copy -paste the message to your page , but it wouldn't work .
the message was "
I liked your hair light and water photo you have evidently gotten the idea and perfected it over some time , good perseverence and wonferful vision the final one ,to me is the best the colors are wondeful, the girl is beautiful, speciallt liked the life preserver in the background reflecting the arch of the flying water i suspect this was serendepitous, but it adds that extra touch that is so dificult to capture on film thats where the art comes in, ansel adams would love them,

Robert,
You are an awesome photographer. How long have you been shooting? I myself am just getting started. Photography truely is an art form and the creator must have an eye to capture the images they see and turn them into appealing works, just as you have done. Thank you for sharing your images. I will return often.

Robert thanks for the invitation to see your work. There is a great variaty here. I am impressed with your ability to make wonderful photographs of many subjects. My favorites are the journalistic or travel images (in Europe ?) and the equestrian images. Also some of your "favorites" are some of my favorites. Keep searching! CD
