its a pleasure to view ur snaps in pbase.com. Iam just a amateur in photography and started just a few months back. Your snaps inspire me to take more photos. I first saw ur snaps in my community "chennai rulezz" in orkut and i have been showing my friends the night shot from treasure island. It was awesome. kalaki podu karthik. i hope to see u adding more snaps in pbase.
Very good stuff. I'm pretty new to photography but it has become my favorite hobby. I really like the colors and the sharpness of your pictures. I can't seem to get that kind of sharpness no matter how hard I try on my cheap Canon A75. I'll be buying a new camera soon - so hopefully you can give me advice??
YO, my friend Kania told me- "If u don't visit this site, i won't submit ur timesheet"
I'm glad she did that, ur pictures are outstanding. Will visit ur website more often and shall pass it on to my buddies.
thanks alot! :)
Matt: I can't seem to reproduce what you've mentioned with your messages. Why don't try sending a post with a sample image at the 10D discussion forum (Link:
). We have a group of experienced photographers I am sure you'll get some answers. Hope to see you there.
Wondering if you could take a couple of your 10D images and zoom in about 200-300% in photoshop and let me know if you are having that slight problem I had mentioned earlier?
Matt: I don't always shoot in RAW. For panoramic I always shoot RAW because surely, there will be a need to adjust colors to match all the images that form pano.
I am not pro in photoshop, still learning. For all the images, I do a little PS level and Unsharp mask. Thats about it.
- Thanks, Karthik.
Hi Matt: All the images in the panoramic gallrey
are stitched from three are more pano images. I use a stitching program called ptgui for all my pano images. While you are at the (
) try to view the images in its original size. For example try this...
You should check out Steven Noyes' Panoramics gallery.
He is great inspiration and my panoramics guru.
one other thing, can I assume that your panoramics are simply cropped from a full framed shots or do you have a more advanced technique to getting those images?
You have some of the best work Ive seen in the PBase galleries so far, in particular your landscapes and flower images. I also have a 10D and have a few questions for you. Do you shoot in raw or large jpeg mode, if raw what program do you use to process the files? I noticed you have the most brilliant colors Ive ever seen come from a 10D, whats your trick, do you enhance the colors in photoshop or have you just lucked out with finding the vibrant scenes? Also if you use photoshop, when you zoom into your images to apx 200-300% do you find that your shadows get blotchy and slightly discolored (which can only be seen when you zoom in this far)? Thanks
I just bumped into your website and saw the photographs... man..its
awesome! Dun know if the real eye cud deliver such vibrant and extravagant
colors... but you did it... elegantly.... i always think God is the
most creative guy around...but we seem to have competitors!! no
flattering... awrite... gotta rush... jst a few lines of honest appreciation....
more later.... ciao.... Annamalai
