I heard that it is down-grade model of C-4040z as I searched for internet to buy a camera but I was satisfied with this one for last a few years. Especially, it was good to take pictures of insects, butterflies and flowers because I could approach them with easy.

I shot with one of these for four years, and overall I was happy with it. However, in the "pain in the ass" category, you forgot one thing: that stupid, stupid arrangement with the lens cap. It's the old-fashioned sort which you manually take off and put back on. If you forgot to take it off before you turn the camera on, the silly thing just sits there and beeps at you. Plus, if you don't want to lose the thing (believe me , I would lose it), there's a ittle cord which you use to attach it to the camera. Fine and dandy, but then the thing is always dangling there while you shoot. It does get in the way. Anyway, no worries. I just upgraded to a Canon 30D, which needless to say is a big step up.

While this camera can and does take a pretty good photograph, there are primarily three things that I wish I'd known about before I bought it. These are of course my opinion but I've heard others say it too. One: slow start up from the off position. Two: slow processing speed from shudder button depress to being ready to shoot again. Three: if you want an off camera flash, you'll need a cable, a bracket and a compatible flash. All availabbe from Olympus for a price.
These are not "show stoppers" but for advanced shooters it's a pain in the rear.

I think this might be the same as the C-4000Z but unsure.
