I love your work Alex. Great eye. I live on the central coast in Pismo Beach. Since my arrival in 1982 I can't seem to get in enough shutter time. I have to tell all my friends and relatives in New York about how you have really captured the essence of where I live on camera. They just don't understand why I wont go back east. I think your photos will help them understand. Do you post on any other sites?

Hi Alex. I was just wondering if youre the same Alex Mabini I used to know. I have a strong feeling you are. If you like Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poetry and draw well, then it must be you.

Hi Alex, I'm a D100 user, I found you when I was looking for some information
on Histogram.
Must of my pictures the histogram is 90% shadows and midtones I hardley
get a good highlight on the histogram.

When I'm not doing outdoor sports my shutter speed is set to 1/60 and f-stop 5.6.
What are your recomendations, I keep my shutter speed at 1/60 because
of bluring.

What are the best setting for a D100, pictures taken with flash tend to be a little
under esposed, they seems to look darker, than a Canon photograph.

Thanks for taking the time to talk about custom curves.

Mario.

Hi Alex,

Your article, "how to improve Nikon D100 and D70 tonality using custom tone curves" helps a lot. My D70 has a serious underexposure problem. Do you know the custom tone curves have effects on RAW or just JPEG? Thanks,

Hi Alex,

I appreciated your article on custom tone curves very much.
Keep up the great work.

Best Regards from Germany

Alex,

Pretty beautiful photos. Really great light. You've got a couple of one of my kids surfing at Carmel. Any chance you'd pass on the files???

Thanks, Tim Pennington

hello from west texas. nice pics. i miss the ocean and was surprised to see morro bay. i used to go there every summer for about ten years and have lunch at the whales tail. is it still there?
i haven't seen tinikling performed in a looooong time. when and where is the filipino festival held? its nice to see pics of that too. everyone looked like they could be related to me. maybe they are.
